 Tips for designing magazine covers:

  2. No exageres demasiado.
  19. No seas predecible, sorprende.

  1. You must question all the design decisions that are applied on the cover.
  2. Do not exaggerate too much.
  3. A perfect design is based on time management. Set aside at least 40% of your time to improve, tweak and refine the cover.
  4. Less ego more equipment. Ask opinions and help if you need. There will always be someone that will want to work with the creative.
  5. Looking for the perfect photo cover. Take your time. (The ideal photo requires a minimum of editing).
  6. Do not be afraid of white and black.
  7. How much simpler, better.
  8. Fewer colors are better. Remember to do so much difference between the exhibitor. The colors, whatever they are, are always great. The important thing is their combination.
  9. Prioritize people over issues or things.
  10. Best lower case than capital: it is read faster. You can operate the exception to the rule.
  11. Logo, on the cleaner and outstanding, worth more.
  12. Presents various design solutions. The first is usually the best, but try 1 or 2 more offers several alternatives. That forces you to analyze your favorite idea further.
  13. Talk about your front with the printer. Can tell you some practical advice. And if there be any problem when played.
  14. Remember: There are no ideas too expensive or too far-fetched.
  15. Nobody reads all the text. Focus on key words for the reader.

  22. Familiarize. If it's possible, marry with the font you're using.
  23. Be selective and objective. Be selective when you design, so you do not block it, and be objective enough to recognize what design will work and what not.
